Mindfulness not only makes it possible to survey out internal landscape with compassion and curiosity but can also actively steer us in the right direction for self-care.

My name is Alexandra Fernandez, I also go by: Alex.

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or major life transitions make it hard to see a clear path forward. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve us, unsure how to break free.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders/disordered eating, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. I have meaningful experience supporting eating disorder recovery, helping clients build practical coping skills to manage urges while creating space for deeper insight into thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and gently challenging, integrating CBT, mindfulness, and creativity. Together, we’ll work to better understand your patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and move toward a more balanced, meaningful life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and a graduate from The University of St. Thomas with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
